Belleville police officers had to use a taser to arrest a man who was fighting with them early this morning (Tuesday).
Police were called to an apartment building on Cannifton Road just after midnight.
Some residents said a man had been threatening them with a hammer.
When police went to the man’s apartment, he became confrontational and a taser was deployed.
A 47 year old man is in custody for a bail hearing and charged with assault with a weapon and breaching probation.
