Belleville, Ontario – On January 5th, 2017 at 9:03 a.m. an officer on patrol recognized a driver who was prohibited from driving as a result of a criminal court order. James Turnbull, 67 years of age, of Belleville, was charged with Prohibited Driving. He will appear in criminal court on February 2nd, 2017. His car was impounded for 45 days.
On January 5th, 2017 at 12:22 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Front Street. A check revealed that the 35-year-old Belleville man was a suspended driver. He will appear in Traffic Court on February 13th, 2017 on a charge of driving while under suspension.
On January 5th, 2017 at 1:33 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on a speeder on Dundas Street East. The 46-year-old Stirling man was also a suspended driver. He will appear in Traffic Court on February 13th, 2017 on charges of driving while under suspension and speeding (74 km/h in a 50 km/h zone).
Intoxicated male
Belleville, Ontario – On January 5th, 2017, at 5:52 p.m. police were called to a Front St. location with regards to an unwanted male. A 50-year-old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He was issued a provincial offence notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
