Two people from Southwestern Ontario are in custody following a police pursuit through this area Wednesday evening.
Quinte West OPP received information that two people wanted on outstanding robbery warrants were travelling in a Toyota Camry on the eastbound 401.
The suspects exited the highway at Marysville where Napanee OPP officers attempted a traffic stop.
The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued.
The pursuit ended with the deployment of a spike belt on Deseronto Road.
The vehicle’s occupants, a 31 year old male from Windsor and a 38 year old female from Chatham–Kent, were taken into custody.
No one was injured however the male suspect was taken to hospital for a medical issue.
Police continue to investigate the incident and will release more information as it becomes available.
