All outdoor burning is being banned in Prince Edward County, at the request of the fire department.
The Fire Chief has issued a burn ban in response to high winds in the area, which could gust up to 70 km/h at some times today.
The ban covers all outdoor burning, including bush fires, camp fires and burning barrels.
Prince Edward County Fire Department staff are monitoring the weather and say the ban is in effect until conditions improve.
