Big Country got another big win.
Madoc’s Dillon Carman was on the card last night in Calgary, where the Canadian Heavyweight Champion took on Vicente Sandez of Mexico.
Carman made quick work of Sandez, winning by knock out in the second round knockout, his 11th of his career.
He tells Quinte News, despite the quick finish, Sandez was a more-than-worthy opponent.
The headline bout was held at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino in Calgary, in preparation for a Commonwealth Heavyweight Title bout, sometime in February.
Carman says they’ve been trying for months to make that fight happen and hope to finalize a date soon.
The International Boxing Organization has Carman ranked 41st in the world in the heavy weight division, while the World Boxing Council ranks him 35th.
