It doesn’t appear to be accident related, but there’s a major back-up on the westbound 401, starting in Trenton at this hour.
Calls to our newsroom and online traffic maps show slow-moving traffic between Trenton and Brighton, in the westbound lanes.
The OPP Communications Centre tells Quinte News they haven’t had any reports of accidents, so the delays could be caused by construction work, or holiday traffic volume.
Drivers should exit the highway before County Road 40 and get back on after County Road 30, to avoid the delay.
