Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison says 2016 was a successful year for the municipality.
He touted the Trent Port Marina’s first year of operation as a big hit for boaters. He also praised all of the staff involved for their hard work and collaboration.
Mayor Harrison also pointed to the great dedication by the group Our TMH in working to keep the Trenton Memorial Hospital open, work on the fire hall design, downtown construction, the five year official plan review, the Quinte Air Show and continued upgrades to the wastewater facility.
He said one of the biggest challenges of 2016 for not only Quinte West was the low water levels that affected many residents and farmers.
