The rodeo will ride on in Prince Edward County.
At Tuesday night’s council meeting, a pair of deputations came forward, against the 2nd annual County Championship Rodeo.
Angela Lammes spoke out against the rodeo, saying it is not fair to the animals involved.
She says lots of municipalities have voted against allowing them.
Last year, council supported the event, which brought in 1,700 for the two day event.
Mayor Robert Quaiff says he sees no reason not to support it again.
In the end council did vote in favour of supporting the 2017 rodeo, however the vote was not unanimous.
