Hastings Lennox and Addington MP Mike Bossio is toasting many successes as he closes out his first year on Parliament Hill.
MP Bossio praised a number of federal investments into local community infrastructure such as $2 million for the Deseronto water filtration plant and $600,000 for watermain issues in Marmora.
As a member of the Standing Committee for Indigenous and Northern Affairs, Bossio said he’s proud of his government’s rural caucus. He said he feels it really listens to its members when it comes to the needs of rural communities.
MP Bossio boasted improvements to the tax-free child tax benefit, tax breaks for middle income families, the changes to the Canada Pension Plan, the passing of assisted dying legislation, and marijuana legislation that is coming ‘down the pipe.’
