OPP in Centre Hastings are trying to find out more about traffic patterns along a stretch of Highway 37 just outside of Tweed.
Officers from the Centre Hastings Detachment are running a focused patrol on Highway 37, between Hunt Road and the village boundary, which means officers are expected to be more visible in the area, as they crack down on unsafe drivers.
The focused patrol also allows senior staff to gather information about traffic flows and driving patterns in the area, so they can better understand where and when to best deploy resources.
The focused patrol runs alongside many other holiday time safety campaigns like Festive RIDE programs, ongoing within a number of local police departments.
