The Wellington Dukes met the Grinch face to face yesterday and the result was a 2-1 loss to the visiting Stouffville Spirit. The Grinch was Aaron Taylor who made 55 saves in the win. Campbellford native Colin Doyle scored the Dukes lone goal. That’s the second 2-1 loss for Wellington in the last week. Tomorrow they’re home to the Markham Royals in a make up game.
In Pickering, the Trenton Golden Hawks jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period and finished with a 6-2 win over the Panthers. Jeremy Pullara scored a goal and two assists. Even though Trenton had a big first, coach and general manager Jerome Dupont says it wasn’t their best period.
The Golden Hawks go right back to Pickering on Friday.
