Belleville Police Service R.I.D.E. Team was set up at various locations within the city during the overnight hours. A total of 155 vehicles were checked. A 34 year old male from Belleville was stopped and investigated for impaired driving. He was subsequently issued a 7 day licence suspension for a “warn” reading resulting in his vehicle also being seized for 7 days. He was further charged with possession of cocaine. He was released from custody on a promise to appear in court on the 12th of January 2017. One other motorist was issued a 3 day licence suspension.
