The Belleville General Hospital Foundation received a $14,800 donation from Wynand Bekker and his team at Shoppers Drug Mart in Belleville on Friday December 16, 2016. Every year they donate the proceeds from the Tree of Life Campaign to the Dr. Douglas A. MacIntosh Cancer Clinic and help to purchase equipment used in the the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, paying for lifesaving drugs that aren’t covered by the government, and to purchase items that help patients feel more comfortable while receiving treatment at BGH. Since 2013 the Tree of Life Campaign has raised over $47,000 for the Oncology clinic. (Photo: submitted)
