UPDATE: 3:40 P.M. Ontario Hydro reports service has been restored to the affected customers. The interruption was caused by a logging truck accident that broke a hydro pole.
There is a massive power outage northeast of Belleville.
At 1:30 p.m. power was knocked out to about 8,300 homes from Tweed to Kaladar and stretching north of Bon Echo Provincial Park.
Hydro One says the cause is unknown at this time and power should be restored around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
