A group of about 15 people was recognized by the local Children’s Foundation on Thursday, for their significant contributions to the Guardians of Hope Campaign.
Executive Director Connie Reid stressed how they wouldn’t be able to run any of these much needed programs without the help of their generous donors.
The luncheon included a speech from Jason Lyons, a child-in-care, who has come a long way and seen much success educationally and elsewhere.
Reid says it was important to have Jason share his story.
To date the Guardians of Hope Campaign has raised more than $100,000 to help fund various Children’s Foundation programs, since 2007.
