Men from Shannonville and Denbigh have been charged in connection with the attempted sale of contraband cigarettes.
The R-C-M-P investigated after smokes were found in eastern Ontario and New Brunswick last summer, and have now charged 40-year-old Yvan Leclair of Shannonville and 59-year-old Carson Mitton with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
Mitton is also charged with possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a controlled substance.
Police seized almost eleven-thousand bags of contraband cigarettes near Moncton on July 6th, and five-hundred bags of smokes in the Cornwall area three weeks later.
