In the United States it is one of the busiest shopping days of the year, however the craze has shifted to not only Canada, but the Quinte region as well.
For years, thousands if not millions of Canadians would get up early and head to the border to try and take advantage of the American Thanksgiving shopping sale.
However over the last decade, the Canadian market wanted to get some of those dollars leaving the country.
Now Black Friday shopping is almost as big north of the border.
For example in the Quinte region, the entire Quinte Mall has massive savings in dozens of stores.
Leon’s Trenton has big deals of their own, and Red Beard’s Sports is 50 percent off in the entire store.
Many places will keep the savings going all weekend as well.
