The outgoing warden of Hastings County says the county has become more unified and “stronger” during his nearly five years in office.
Warden Rick Phillips, who officially bid farewell to county council earlier this week, says in the past there had “always been talk of north of seven or south of seven.”
The new warden, Stirling Mayor Rodney Cooney, will be sworn in at a ceremony in December.
