Plans for a $500,000 theatre at the National Air Museum in Trenton were presented to Hastings County Council Tuesday.
The idea is to have a state of the art theatre to showcase Canadian history.
Past Chair of the National Air Museum Foundation Fred Blair outlined the plans for the 125-seat theatre.
Blair said “aviation lends itself to visual aids.”
The theatre would be used for training military personnel and for community special events opportunities, as well as for tourists to observe.
Blair says Quinte West gave $50,000 and proposed a donation of $40,000 from Hastings County.
Council decided to defer the request to the 2017 budget deliberations.
