The last time the Trenton Golden Hawks were shut out was in the meaningless final game of last season. Aurora blitzed the Hawks 3-0. Fast forward to yesterday, and Aurora did it again, winning 3-0 over Trenton.
Trenton outshot the Tigers 46-26 but couldn’t put one past goaltender Brayden Lachance. It’s only the 4th regulation loss of the year for the G-Hawks. They host Lindsay on Wednesday night.
In Wellington, a 4 goal second period carried the Whitby Fury over the Dukes 6-3.
Nic Mucci, Mitchell Mendonca and Carter Allen scored in the loss. Wellington has lost 5 of six and 3 in a row at home. The Dukes host Trenton on Friday night.
