She is going from Staff Sergeant to Inspector, within the Belleville Police Service.
During Thursday’s Police Service Board meeting at the Quinte Sports and Wellness, Police Chief Cory McKay welcomed Sherri Meeks to the position of Inspector, within the service.
Meeks says the position gave her a chance to see a different side of policing.
Meeks will continue her duties as media relations representative for the force.
