A 53 year old Belleville man had to be rescued after falling off a bicycle and sliding down a steep embankment at Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area in Picton yesterday.
The man was able to call 911, but it took OPP, ambulance personnel and firefighters a while to find him in the bush.
It took emergency responders a few hours using ropes, rescue baskets and a winch to pull the man up a 40 metre slope to safety.
The man suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Prince Edward Memorial Hospital.
