Tyendinaga Township is looking at cleaning up some yards that are less than clean.
This month, the township has completed a first draft of a clean yards bylaw, which could give the municipality some teeth, in forcing a standard for property owners.
Township Clerk Steve Mercer says the legislation needs a renewal.
Mercer says there are only a few properties this will affect, but it will help a lot with aesthetics.
