One thing most people can’t seem to live without anymore is high speed internet, and lots of it.
And tomorrow (Tuesday), experts will be at Quinte West City Hall to tell the public about what to expect as far as high speed access is concerned.
The building of a high speed broadband network across eastern Ontario started a few years ago, and the $175 million project was completed at the end of last year.
However, many residents, especially in rural parts of the region, have been complaining that their internet service is still too slow and doesn’t allow users to do as much as they’d like to online.
At the public information session in Quinte West, Xplornet and Eastern Ontario Regional Network officials will describe the work already done and still to be done to improve the existing service to address these concerns.
Everyone is welcome.
The public information meeting is set for 6:30 at Quinte West City Hall tomorrow (Tuesday) evening.
