The Belleville Police Service responded to 64 calls for service between November 10th 2016 at 5:00 a.m. and November 11th, 2016 at 5:00 a.m.
Drug Seizure
Belleville, Ontario – On November 10th, 2016, at 12:14 p.m. Court security officers at the Quinte Consolidated Courthouse at 15 Bridge Street West were involved in a drug seizure. An individual was attempting to gain entry at the screening area at the main doors. The Special Constables seized a knife as well as two vials of cannabis resin (hash oil). The 48-year old male was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Wesley Wannamaker of Belleville will appear back in court on December 15th, 2016.
Three arrested in crime spree
Belleville, Ontario – On November 11th, 2016, at 2:45 a.m. officers attended in the Village Drive area in response to three teenagers trying car door handles on parked cars. The trio was located on Stavebank Avenue. Stolen property was recovered from the males. One of the males had keys to a 4-wheeler in his pocket. A Kubota UTV was located nearby. The Kubota UTV was stolen from Picton. Three 16-year old youths remain in police custody. Their names cannot be released. A number of cars were broken into overnight on Village Drive and Cascade Blvd in the west end, and Queen Street in the City’s east end.
