Job numbers looking good
Unemployment statistics are down and employment numbers are up.
That’s the word from the Quinte Economic Development Commission.
Statistics for Eastern Ontario, including Quinte, were presented to the QEDC Tuesday.
They indicate the unemployment rate dropped to 5.7% from 6.1% for the same time last year.
There were 218,000 workers on the job, 18,000 more than at this time last year.
