It was a more emotional night than usual at the 20th annual Quinte Business Achievement Awards Gala last night at the Essroc Centre in Wellington.
Two brothers, Sam and Dr. Ben Osborne, both were presented awards for their respective businesses.
The crowd at the gala applauded, but many broke down in tears, on hearing that the brothers’ father, Al, had passed away Thursday night and could not witness his sons’ achievements.
