Quinte West is sending clear a message to Canada Post – keep door-to-door mail delivery.
At Monday night’s meeting, council voted to again show opposition for plans to scrap door-to-door delivery. However, this time the municipality is encouraging residents to complete a parliamentary committee’s on-line survey in an effort to keep home delivery mail.
The Liberal government promised to do away with the cuts to delivery service and began an extensive review of Canada at the beginning of 2016.
The survey closes on October 21.
