There is concern among some on Brighton council about the amount of money being spent on lawyers by the municipality.
At its meeting tonight, council will see a motion from councillors Martinello and McMurray regarding legal costs.
The motion makes mention of the discussion regarding the appointment of an Integrity Commissioner and notes that in just two months, June and July, the municipality spent almost $30,000 on legal services.
The motion asks that a complete report on legal costs comes to council in early November.
Brighton council meets tonight at 6:30 in council chambers.
