A man has been cautioned about the proper use of 911, even though he had good intentions.
Northumberland OPP say the unidentified man had been discharged from the Campbellford Hospital late last Friday night and needed to get home.
But, since it was late, the man didn’t want to wake up his friend and decided to call 911 and ask officers to take him home instead.
Police advised him to make other arrangements, since hospital pick-ups don’t fall under the typical police duties.
