The province continues to monitor severe drought conditions very closely and the effect they’re having on farmers’ crops.
Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural affairs Jeff Leal has been visiting farms that included a farmers’ round table in Prince Edward County last month to get a first hand look at the situation.
Minister Leal encourages farmers who are enrolled in risk management programs to get their information to Agricorp so they can facilitate any claims that will inevitably be coming in.
