Congratulations are in order to the team at Tomasso’s Italian Grille in Trenton, Ontario for achieving Feast OnÔ designation from the Culinary Tourism Alliance.
Being Feast OnÔ designated is a demonstration of their significant sourcing of Ontario grown, raised and made food & drink products. They are the first restaurant to achieve this status in Trenton.
Feast OnÔ designees are committed to increasing local food procurement province-wide; developing Ontario’s culinary identity; celebrating Ontario’s food and drink champions; and educating the public on the amazing products grown, processed, and prepared in Ontario. Food service establishments like Tomasso’s Italian Grille who have received the designation are also rewarded for participating in community events, food education, and awareness campaigns; as well as partnering with regional local food groups.
MPP Lou Rinaldi, ambassador for the program in Northumberland-Quinte West, was on hand yesterday (Friday) at Tomasso’s Italian Grille to officially present the team with their coveted ‘Feast On Spoon’ – a symbol of their designation.
