The enrolment numbers in the Hastings Prince Edward School Board are right on target.
At Monday night’s school board meeting, Superintendent Nick Pfeiffer rolled out the elementary and secondary numbers for 2016-17.
10,176 students are projected in the public board, about 50 above their estimate.
That is an increase of 28, over last year.
On the secondary side 14,876 students are projected to be attending class, a decrease of 48 over last year.
Pfeiffer says the decreased enrolment trend on the elementary side is now over.
On the secondary side, the estimates were just two off initial projections for this school year.
