Both of the Quinte region junior hockey teams kept up their winning ways last night.
At the Essroc Centre, the Wellington Dukes defeated Burlington 3 to 2. The Dukes outshot their
opponents 38 to 28 in front of 500 fans.
Wellington has won 6 games straight.
Meanwhile, just to the north, the Trenton Golden Hawks decimated another hockey team on their way to their 5th straight victory.
The G Hawks toyed with Pickering, filling the nets with over a dozen goals, in a 14 to 3 laugher.
Michael Silveri and Austin Bottrell both had hat tricks for Trenton.
The Golden Hawks Head Coach Jerome Dupont was happy with how his team has maintained a high level of play despite much weaker opponents.
The Golden Hawks outshot Pickering 50 to 17 in front of close to 700 fans.
Tomorrow(Sunday), Trenton travels to Aurora for a 7 o’clock start.
