Charges against a former Belleville man in connection with allegations of fraud in Bancroft have been withdrawn.
A Bancroft non-profit group hired the Astor Construction Group to do work and, as is normal, the contractor produced performance and material bonds to the group.
Then, concerned about the progress in construction, the non-profit organization tried to receive their deposit back.
OPP originally stated the bonds were invalid.
The Director of Astor Construction, 35 year old Shane Ross was charged with two counts of making a forged document, and two counts of uttering a forged document.
In court this week, the charges were withdrawn and the case will not be moving forward.
