We came within decimal points of a new high temperature record as we sweated through a sweltering day
in the Quinte region yesterday.
The temperature topped out at 27.5 degrees, according to Environment Canada and readings taken
from CFB Trenton.
The record high for a September 20th was just slightly warmer, at 27.8 degrees, set in 1965.
Meanwhile, the record for today’s date, September 21st, is 28.3 degrees, also set in 1965.
The forecast calls for a high of around 26 today.
