A well-known and very experienced local politician will be taking on a larger role at Queen’s Park.
Northumberland-Quinte West MPP Lou Rinaldi was elected Chair of the Liberal Caucus for the second session of Ontario’s 41st Parliament, back in June.
He’ll begin his role, presiding over the Liberal caucus meetings, as of today.
While Rinaldi has chaired other committees during his lengthy career, the position of Caucus Chair is a first for him.
In a press release today, Rinaldi says he’s “proud to have the support of colleagues in being chosen as Caucus Chair” and “the faith and support they’ve shown won’t be forgotten”.
