While many golfers kick back with a cold beer after 18 holes, Kendrick Webster might kick back with a juice box. After all, the Quinte West native is only 12 years old but already making a name for himself here at home and around the Province.
Webster is a grade 7 student at Murray Centennial. He is not only the youngest Junior Champion in the history of the Bay of Quinte Golf Club, he also tore apart the St. Lawrence Junior Golf Tour, easily topping 104 other participants. Last week he finished second in the Ontario Golf Association Junior championships. Webster also played in the Bay of Quinte Club championships against players 4, 5 and 6 times his age.
Kendrick is also playing “AAA” hockey with the Quinte Red Devil Major Peewees.
