A big new elementary school in Trenton should be ready for students in January.
Director of Education for the Hastings Prince Edward School Board, Mandy Savery-Whiteway,
says construction of the Trent River Public School is on time and is expected to be within the
$13 million budget.
The Trent River Public School is being built on the former Queen Elizabeth school site in Trenton and will hold about 560 students.
The new school consolidates student populations from Queen Elizabeth, Breadner Elementary, and College Street Public.
