The Chief of Staff of Quinte Health Care is beaming, following major funding by the province.
Last week Health Minister Doctor Eric Hoskins announced that all Trenton Memorial day surgeries, earmarked for BGH, will remain at Trenton Memorial.
Hoskins also announced $6 million for a new health care hub in Quinte West, along with more than $200,000 for design drawings.
Speaking to David Foot on the Lorne Brooker Show, Chief Doctor Dick Zoutman says they have not ironed out where the hub could be located.
Quinte News asked Minister Eric Hoskins about the possibility of locating a military or veterans’ component to the health hub.
Hoskins says a proposal has gone forward for just that.
