The Picton Pirates are redeveloping their brand and are asking the County to help with purchasing the stencil and installing new centre ice logo.
The team is moving away from the rat with an eye patch to an actual pirate.
Head Coach and Assistant General Manager Chris Masterson says it costs $2,300 and will help to maintain the team, attract players and enhance the fan experience.
The team is also asking for council to install a washing machine in the Picton arena like at the Wellington arena to wash jerseys at an annual operating cost of $46.
