Prince Edward OPP are reminding car owners to “lock it or lose it”, after a string of thefts from vehicles overnight yesterday.
The majority of the thefts happened in the Rossmore area, but at this point investigators don’t have any suspects.
Drivers are reminded to lock their cars and roll up their windows, never leave valuables in sight and always try to park your car in a well-lit area.
Meanwhile, investigators in Quinte West are looking into a case of stolen tools.
OPP say sometime between last Saturday night and this morning, someone got into a locked garage on Edward Street and took a number of tools, including drills, an angle grinder and a floor jack.
There’s no description of suspects, but police say the stolen tools have the owner’s name written on them in permanent marker.
Anyone with information on either incident can call OPP or Crimestoppers.
