A house was destroyed by fire Friday morning in Quinte West.
Around 1:30 a.m., crews were called to 679 English Settlement Road, west of Highway 33, after the flames started in the garage.

Whalen says 28 members were on scene to fight the smoke and flames.
Whalen says the owners were not home at the time.
A vehicle in the garage was destroyed as well.
Damage is estimated around $300,000
