Lifters from the Victory Barbell Club have won a medal and set a Provincial record at the Ontario Summer Games in Mississauga.
14 year old Connor Bazilsky had a total lift of 267 pounds, which was good for a silver medal.
15 year old Addy Walker finished 4th in her division with a total lift of 316 pounds. Walker’s lift of 182 pounds in the “Clean and Jerk” was a new Ontario Juvenile record.
These were the first Summer Games for Connor and Addy.
Also at the Summer Games, Loyalist Fencing Club members Angus McFadden and Hugo Clements competed in the Cadet Mens Sabre competition.
Clements won silver in the three weapon team relay and bronze in the individual sabre competition. McFadden finished 9th.
