Usually, a sunny day brings the smiles to people’s faces, but it was exactly the opposite yesterday.
After weeks of almost continuous dry weather, the Quinte region received the gift of liquid sunshine, and
a fair bit of it as well!
According to readings taken at CFB Trenton, Environment Canada reports our area received well over an inch
of rain yesterday, topping out at 34.8 mm.
That is a lot, but nowhere near the record amount of rain for the date.
60.5 mm fell on August 13th, 61 years ago in 1955.
