It was a perfect start for the Campbellford OPG Cougars at the Cannadian Fast Pitch Midget championships in Saskatoon.
Campbellford roared past Manitoba 11-3 in the opener. Stewart Battman homered and drove in 4 runs. Carter Dolbear doubled, tripled and drove in 3. Connor Petherick homered as well. Riley Manion gets the win.
In their second game, the Cougars shut out Prince Albert 5-0. Zac Klein keyed the offence with a 3 run triple. Stew Battman drove in the other two while Ben Broek pitched a 2 hitter while striking out 11.
Campbellford plays Quebec and Newfoundland today.
