Thankfully, it was very minor, but there was a problem involving natural gas in downtown Belleville last night.
Callers to the Belleville Fire Department reported smelling natural gas in the area of Front and Victoria Streets around 9 last night.
Firefighters and Union Gas personnel responded.
There was a very small gas leak coming from a malfunctioning valve. Repairs were made and the scene was cleared after an hour and a half without incident.
