A holdup in a proposed major development in Brighton has gone to the Ontario Municipal Board, but it may not go to a hearing. Craft Development plans to build a major commercial centre in Brighton’s east end. It applied to change the seven hectare site from residential to commercial. The company says the town has not made a decision within the proper timeframe. But director of planning Ken Hurford says the company didn’t file its traffic and services studies until late last year and the town’s consultant’s are now reviewing them. Hurford says there will be a public meeting, and it will be two or three months before town council makes a decision. Hurford says the O.M.B has given the town some time to do that.
