It seems the mannequin thieves, who Belleville Police have been looking for since the spring, are at it again.
Since May 8th, investigators have looked into five break and enters, where the only items taken were full mannequins, or pieces of the display dolls.
Three of the break-ins happened between May 8th and June 23rd, at businesses on Front Street, but two more similar incidents have happened in the last couple of weeks.
Investigators say in the early morning hours of July 14th, someone broke into a store on North Front Street and stole two more female mannequins, then ten days later, broke into the same store and stole four female mannequin torsos.
At this point, police don’t have any solid leads and are asking members of the public for any information.
