The City of Belleville seems to be going to the birds these days, big birds!
Jack Miller brought up the subject of an increasing number of geese wandering about in various
parts of the city at a council meeting Monday night.
Geese, of course, are well known for leaving a lot of waste in their wake, and the sidewalk along the Moira River on the Cannifton Road has been a mess.
Councillor Miller says the Parks Department is going to start regular clean up with a special machine immediately.
The Canada Goose is a protected migratory bird.
